Right along there somewhere the slope not only becomes slippery, it 
drops off precipitously.  We will not only start to slide, we will 
slide fast and far.

I'd like to see us stick to "Conduct, publish, and archive 
communications in a manner that facilitates open and trusted 
interactions within and across all working groups and the public Internet."

I don't know why we word the principle just that way.  The following 
is quite clear and seems to me to have the same meaning:  "Conduct, 
publish, and archive communications open to all working groups and the public."
