[Community] Reminder: Group quarterly reports were due onMonday, July 7

While I agree with Brett that these are important, I know my personal
reaction when the notice went out was, "Man, I just filed several of those -
is it time again?"

 

Given that IIW happens is semi-annual - and that the space is slowly
maturing -- I would like to formally request that we change from Quarterly
Reports to Semi-Annual Reports, and that the due dates coincide with IIW
each time.

 

This would get community members in a rythym to "report to the community" on
a semi-annual basis.

 

Eugene, Mary, Kaliya: can we add that to the agenda of the next Stewards
Council meeting?

I'd like to pile-on Mary's courteous and subtle reminder.  I just went to
read all 24 Q2 Reports in preparation for seeing many of you at Project VRM
meetings next week and I was shocked to see only TWO reports (of 24) have
been filed (and one of those is very, very terse).  In other words, Mary's
Higgins Report is the only one with any actual information and 22 of them
are empty templates.  

 

Granted this is easy for me to say since I'm not a Steward of any of these
groups, but for those of you who are I just wanted to emphasize that people
are looking at this as an indication of what's going on at Identity Commons
and what's up there now is not a good (and hopefully not an accurate)
representation.  I suggest you look at the Higgins Report as a good model
for how to quickly fill out the template with useful updates without
burdening yourselves with tedious documentation.
