STewards council call is WEdnesday

The Internet Identity Workshop is fast approaching there are several
key things you can do to help prepare for the big event.

(also see the bottom of this e-mail for information about other events)

2) BLOG ABOUT IIW.

We have a new clearer articulation of what the conference covers and
what it is about on our main wiki page http://iiw.idcommons.net/
index.php/Iiw2008a

Kaliya has blogged about it here: http://www.identitywoman.net/?p=762

**** MONDAY IS FREE ****

We have Monday's program figured out and Monday afternoon is FREE to
anyone who wants to come and check out the emerging field BEGINNING
at 1 PM.
http://iiw.idcommons.net/index.php/Monday_Program

It includes a presentation by an active Newbie sharing his
perspective on what the space is about - Ryan Janssen who has been an
amazing active reader of the community blogs and writing about it as
Dr. Star Cat http://drstarcat.com/

Everyone will get a hand out of all the community project one pagers
(see item three on this list they need to be updated).

Presentations about 5 centers of gravity in the community we see
The VENN OF IDENTITY
1) OpenID - David Recordon
2) SAML/Liberty Alliance - Paul Madsen
3) i-cards - Pamela Dingle
4) Data sharing/linking - Drummond Reed
5) Vendor Relationship Management Project - Chris Carfi

AT 3:30 PM we will be all together - considering "what useful things
can we do" please be there for this if you feel all up to speed on
"everything". We think that the presentations will be informative
for those already familiar with the landscape it has moved forward
since we last were together - so we encourage you all to get there at
1PM.

3) UPDATE YOUR COMMUNITY PROJECT ONE PAGERS
There is a list of projects on the IIW page. If you are a care taker
of one of them it would be great to have it updated on the wiki so it
is current and a one page printable version sent to us. This is one
page - one side of one page (not two sides of one page). THIS IS DUE
MAY 6th.

These are NOT product pitches for proprietary offerings.

4) POST WORKSHOP TOPICS you will be covering or hope to get covered
http://iiw.idcommons.net/index.php/Proposed_Topics_2008a

5) UNTALENT SHOW prepare your parody identity lyrics now to share
with us of course 'real' talent is also welcome - so are music
compilations on an ipod that our DJ could play over dinner for
example. I (kaliya) am convinced one way to address 'market
confusion' is to have video of OpenID, i-card folks and SAML all
singing together.

6) CONTRIBUTE TO THE PHOTO GROUPS (lend us a monitor)
If you have photos of people in the community you would like to share
(taken at a previous, IIW, IOS, or other conference where Identity
folk have gathered). Please feel free to contribute it to the
Identerati Portraits Flickr Group - http://www.flickr.com/groups/
664664 at N21/ We will be taking some of the best photos from this
group and printing them and displaying them at IIW.

We also have two other groups - one for pictures 'about identity' the
other just 'interesting photos' that people who are part of the
community are a part of. http://wiki.idcommons.net/index.php/Photo_Group

We are thinking about having a monitor or two with pictures rolling
on the (via an Ipod or computer). We are wondering if anyone who is
local has a TV that they wouldn't mind bringing to CHM for a couple
days to be a community photo display.

7) WE NEW DOCUMENTATION METHOD - each session is required to bullet
point / diagram the outcome on a 11x17 sheet of paper and post it on
the Wall of RESULTS. You can see this in action at the Data Sharing
Workshop http://www.flickr.com/photos/kaliya/2432668779/

8) CHECK OUT THE IDENTITY COMMONS Q1 REPORTS
These are now up and give a great overview of what has been happening
in the community.
